My good friend Ty approached me needing some photos taken for his job. He needed a range of photos that were a mix of business professional, business smart casual and athletic. I had such a wonderful time taking his photos, I think it helps that he is a friend! This was the first time I used my new Godox AD200 flash and MagMod Magsphere, which I used on the photos taken indoors. Enjoy!

The rush of the holidays are over and I am able to relax (a little bit). I'm finally checking out this magazine I was published in as one of my pictures was selected as a winning submission in the Black & White Magazine 2019 Single Image Contest Children category! It really is such an awesome feeling and honor. The image was shot using my Pentax 645nii medium format film camera, using Kodak 400TX film.
Emily approached me wanting to do a quick photo session while her dad and brother were in town visiting for the holidays. It was a very quick session and I wish we had more time because Emily and her family are just so photogenic! And her and her husband’s two daughters are just too precious. I hope you enjoy looking through their photos!
My daughter has been on a train obsession for quite some time. Any chance I get, I take her to see trains and Morris Arboretum is one of those places I take her often to see them. During the holidays, the arboretum decorates the garden railway with so many holiday lights and other decorations. Of course my daughter loved every moment of watching the trains (especially Thomas & friends). I hope you enjoy the photos!
A little over a week ago I had a wonderful time shooting two families. I met Renee through my daughter’s school and I was so excited when she approached me wanting to do a family photo session for their holiday cards. She also recommended her sister Megan to me, who wanted to do a holiday photo session as well. The session was early in the morning and it was very cold outside. While sessions do not always go as planned, it was hard to tell from most of these photos that the little one wanted nothing to do about taking pictures. But when in doubt, always have lollipops on you (a lesson I have taken and will make sure I have at every photo session!). I hope you enjoy looking at photos!
I was recently contacted by the American Staffing Association to take some portrait photographs of one of their contract employee who was a national award winner for a program the agency holds every year. I really enjoyed working with Matt and learning about how he found the job and how much he’s grown in the position. Below are the three images ASA selected to use on their website and in their magazine for when they announce the national winners.
I was so excited when my friend Megan approached me about a gift certificate for her brother and his wife. They are expecting and she wanted to gift them a maternity photo session. This session was done at Robert Moses on Long Island and I had such a wonderful time capturing the growing family! The pictures below are a mixture of medium format film and digital. Enjoy!
Recently myself and two photographer friends went scouting for some new photo locations. I also recently just picked up a medium format Pentax 645nii film camera. I wanted to test some film and speeds and ended up having an impromptu photo session! I have to say, these pictures of Valerie with her oldest daughter Ava are absolutely precious. Enjoy!
I recently had the pleasure to take Sarah’s headshots. I’ve been using more of my medium format Pentax 654nii film camera because I just love the look it gives that it can be hard to replicate with digital. Here are a few of my favorites from her session, enjoy!
A couple of weeks ago I got to shoot some first communion family photos for this pretty young lady and their family. I am so thankful for my wonderful Erik who gave me the honor of photographing this special day for him and his family. We did this entire session on film, and bravely on film that was expired. I have to say, not so bad considering the film was expired!
You may recognize the beautiful family in the pictures below. I was lucky enough to take their maternity photos when they were pregnant with their first child, Ryder, who is now 17 months! Megan and Chris are pregnant with their second child, and they wanted some family maternity photos before their newest addition. We got quite lucky with the day because it was very cloudy and foggy until we reached our destination, and the clouds started to give way to some beautiful blue skies. We hung out at the beach for the rest of the day, which was so fun because I was able to document some photos of them while they were relaxing. Can't wait for baby Carter #2 to arrive!
Enjoy the photos below! I can't wait to share the film photos come in as well!
