Strawberry Picking and Lavender Fields Trip

It is berry season here on Long Island and one of my favorite things to do is go to a U-pick and get fresh berries right off the vine. Our first stop was to Lewin's Farm in Calverton to pick our strawberries. It was pretty much the end of the season, but after some walking and searching, we managed to find a few patches untouched. Belén was enjoying the fresh strawberries, she wouldn't stop eating them! From there we drove out to Lavender on the Bay in East Marion. This time of year is a good time to go there because the lavender is typically in full bloom by then. This was my first time there, and I didn't know you couldn't pick the lavender yourself, but it's still worth a stop to see the gorgeous fields if you are out there.

Enough of my rambling, now time for some photos (the last picture is a rare moment Adam grabbed the camera and snapped a photo of Belén and I). I used my Nikon D750, NIKKOR 24-70mm f/2.8G ED and NIKKOR 85mm f/1.4G lenses. I edited them in Lightroom and used the Mastin Labs Portra 160 and Fuji Pro 400H Neutral presets.
